• Nightshade is a scientist, and something of a mad scientist at that.
• They're on Smart Trainer 5009 for their training AI now, after Bumblebee sort-of-accidentally wrecked the previous mostly-working one. They're probably going to keep fiddling with it until they reach a more satisfying number, though.
• They're still reading D.E O'Neil's books, and recently left flowers at that grave site as a thank you for both the stories that they've come to love and their alt mode.
• They've also read and highly enjoyed Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There!
• They've definitely watched some fun movies with Hashtag, including at least the first Mission: Impossible movie and probably one or two superhero, pirate, and detective things.
• They have repaired Tarantulas's holographic projector (as well as making an upgraded 2.15 version) and they keep hoping he'll come back for it. They're very concerned, but they have no idea how they'd even start looking to see if he's okay -- though by the end of season one they're about ready to try anyway.
• They can fly in root mode when their wings are out, though they aren't certain why the wings seem to be necessary.
• They've also become more owl-like in some ways after scanning their alt mode; their head/neck has the full 270 degrees of rotation, they might mantle or go into a threat display when startled in alt, and they have enhanced eyesight that they can choose to enhance even further...
• They can transform their root mode in mild ways, not simply bringing out or pulling in their wings, but also bringing out or pulling in "feathers" of a sort along their arms (ones that they can use as projectiles!), and able to adjust parts of their head to form a protective covering over their mouth and also enhance their vision, allowing them to see even further/more sharply and see much more clearly in the dark. Enhancing their vision also turns their eyes red! (See here and here.)
• Their screech is definitely the screech of a hawk, though. Oops.
• Given their minimal negative and occasionally outright positive experience with Decepticons, Nightshade is not inclined to be immediately suspicious of, much less hostile to, anyone of that faction. They'd like to get to know them better, frankly.
• After what happened in Philadelphia, Nightshade surreptitiously scooped up the mind-control chip and secretly did experiments on it to see if they could come up with ways to negate its effects or get through its force-field in the future. They only did this in secret because they thought the others, and especially Hashtag, wouldn't want to keep looking at it or know it's still around in any capacity, but it did help them figure out how to get the updated version off Shockwave!
• They had to hold things together for themself, for Twitch, and for their family, but after that whole situation they really need a hug.
• At the moment they're concerned about the people they care about in their life, as well, due to what they've all been through -- but primarily Twitch, Thrash, Tarantulas, and actually Shockwave.

Extra Note: The Maltobots' developmental stages aren't exactly like humans' and they're kind of all over the place. In some cases they're hitting young child milestones and in some cases teenage ones. However, as a whole, Nightshade is developmentally most similar to someone in their early 20s, somewhat "older" than even Twitch and Thrash in that sense (though not experientially).

Looking at their ages that way, it would most likely go Nightshade > Twitch > Hashtag > Thrash > Jawbreaker. Experientially, Twitch would probably be the "older twin" and Jawbreaker would be the "youngest triplet." None of these are 100% perfect maps, however.
